The Review:
I was very nervous when I rented this movie. First off, I thoroughly enjoyed Charlotte’s Web when I was younger. We read it in fourth grade and then watched the cartoon version of the movie. I did like this version but I still say the book was better. I was happy that they didn’t stray away from the book like most books then turned movies do. I thought all the actors did a great job and Steven was great personifying Templeton as was Julia Roberts with Charlotte.

The Review:
Wow was it me or were those penguins really sexual?? Lol. I never thought an animated movie could get me sad but it just goes to show there are stuck up close-minded beings even in the world of penguins and wasn’t it kick-butt that the “weird” one saved the day! This movie was funny and worth the rental fee even though my mom bought it although I personally wouldn’t go that far. It was a good movie but not one I’d watch over and over.

The Review:
What can I say, I’m on a Josh kick and have no fear, Poseidon is coming later today! This movie basically was able to shed some light on the difficulties of introducing black players to the world of basketball back in the day. It painted a realistic picture and for that, it’s sad that people acted that way but then again it was triumphant how of course in the end, the team won the championship. It was a great movie but not the best. Some parts of the movie had me definitely wishing I had a pillow and blanket which proves it was boring since I love basketball and Josh Lucas. Josh did a good job but the movie could’ve been a lot better.

The Review
I’ve never really been a make-up girl but I was looking for some foundation to wear for this dinner I was having with some friends since my Bare Essentials have not arrived yet. My friend recommended Cover Girl and I decided to try their Tru Blend Liquid Foundation since it’s a bit more pricey and usually make up is the pricier the better since I’m more used to using Clinique, Merle Norman, etc. Well, let me tell you this stuff was not worth it at all. It was streaky looking and not to mention did not blend what so ever. I did the little test thing at the store where they have the swatches you put over your skin to decipher which type you needed. Well, it made me look like I had an orange tint and left a big line. Not to mention, liquid foundation is a pain in the butt.

The Review:
I first heard of this book from a friend on a chat forum who gave it rave reviews. I was kinda antsy to read it at first since this is a girl’s view of her family from Heaven and I figured it’d be sad and bring up too many memories of rape and other stuff for me. Well, I read it anyway and I am glad I did. The story of Susie is sad at times but she is watching her family and seeing how much they loved her and how her memory helps heal each member of her family in their own ways. I was really glad that her father was courageous enough with the help of her sister to not give up until Susie’s killer was finally captured. The story really makes you realize that things like this do happen and gives a new perspective on what Heaven is like seeing as no one truly knows. I do like the idea that everyone has a different Heaven and was glad that she was with her dog. This movie brought tears of sadness and then pure happiness. It’s a roller coaster ride of emotions but definitely worth it since if an author has the power to make you feel what they are writing, they are damn good.

The Review:
This movie is one of my favorite movies. I can really relate to how Melanie feels that once she moved to the city, she had to create this whole other personification to fit in and become someone important but soon realizes that no one can escape her past and after a while she wasn’t as embarrassed about it as she thought she was. No one can change where they come from. Reese and Josh both did wonderful jobs and who could not love Ethan Embry as Bobby Ray. I must say though my fave part would have to be the whole Civil War re-enactment and then at the end when Bobby Ray put the game pieces on the wedding cake. Very funny!! And if you watch the DVD, you’ll have a hard time deciding if you like the original or the optional ending included in the DVD Extras. I definitely recommend this DVD to every one!
